Biography: Dr. Baqai received his B.S., M.S and Ph.D degrees from College of Aeronautical Engineering (CAE) Pakistan, University of Southern California and Purdue University in 1985, 1994 and 1998, respectively. He joined LUMS in 2003. Before that, from 1998 to 2003, he was working as General Manager Information Technology at Pakistan Aeronautical Complex. He also was a Visiting Professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago, USA and Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology Pakistan, in addition to being an Adjunct Professor at LUMS. His past experience also includes Research Consultant in Enabling Technologies Pakistan and Awaz Networks Pakistan, Lecturer in CAE Pakistan and Engineering Officer in Pakistan Air Force. He has a number of publications in refered international journals and conferences. He has contributed to two books and also has served on the programme committees of various IEEE and NSF sponsored conferences.
