A Joint University-Industry Workshop, July 28-29, 2008

The unique chemical and physical properties of nanomaterials are stimulating joint ventures in academia, industry and government across the globe to explore their applications. Beyond new uses in electronics, optics, and catalysis, nanomaterials hold promise in the discovery and delivery of new drugs to combat various diseases including cancer. Research in this area is progressing from bench to clinic and, in a few cases, to commercialization.

This workshop will draw participants from industry, academia and government who will discuss advances and future challenges in this rapidly growing field, and propose ways in how it can stimulate joint university-industry research in Pakistan.

Venue: PICIC Auditorium (First Floor, Main Academic Block)

Important note: Accommodation at the Rausing Executive Development Centre (REDC) is reserved only for those participants and speakers who have been notified via email.
