Tenure-Track Faculty Positions |
LUMS School of Science and
Engineering is seeking outstanding scientists
and engineers committed to excellence in undergraduate
and graduate education and capable of developing
independent research programs. Applications
are invited for both full-time and visiting
faculty positions and from junior as well
as senior faculty members in all areas of
science and engineering. We offer candidates
an opportunity to have significant impact,
participating in building the first private
research university in Pakistan, and conducting
nationally and globally relevant research.
Both tenure earning and tenured positions
will be considered. We offer competitive salaries
and attractive research support.
Candidates for full-time faculty positions
should hold a doctoral degree in an appropriate
discipline. Appointments will be in one of

Postdoctoral Researchers in Applied Mathematics
& Computation |
Recent or graduating PhDs in
mathematics, computer science, physics or
engineering are invited to apply for a one
year postdoctoral research position. Interested
candidates should have a strong foundation
in one or more areas related to dynamical
systems, geometry and topology, quantum information,
spectral theory, optimization and control,
graph theory, analysis of PDEs or information
theory. Responsibilities will primarily concern
research in collaboration with other faculty
members at LUMS SSE.

Research Assistants |
Recent graduates with a B.Sc.
in engineering, computer science, mathematics
or physics are invited to apply for renewable
short appointments as research assistants.
Interested candidates should have a taste
for mathematical investigations and numerical
computation. Students with practical hands-on
experience in signal processing, control systems
and other areas of systems research are also
encouraged to apply. Responsibilities will
primarily concern aiding in fundamental research
as well as helping establish a laboratory
in distributed sensing and control. Successful
applicants may also be offered to continue
as Masters/PhD students at LUMS on the basis
of their performance.

Postdoctoral position in the laboratory of Epigenetics at Department of Biology |
A postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Epigenetics at Department of Biology in LUMS School of Science and Engineering. One of the laboratory’s main focuses is the process of cell fate determination and maintenance of cellular identity during development. We aim to identify and characterize factors responsible for modulation of Polycomb group proteins during process of cellular memory in Drosophila using genetic, molecular and biochemical approaches.
The ideal candidate is a talented and highly motivated PhD or MD/PhD with a good level of independence and a strong background in molecular biology and/or protein biochemistry. An interest in or experience with bioinformatics and analyses of high-throughput data sets is advantageous.

Work will involve coordinating
and developing efficient HR processes, generating
periodic reports and assisting in HR reviews.
The position offers opportunity for contributing

a 4-year bachelor's degree or a traditional
master's degree in management or social sciences.
The candidate should have excellent communication
